A leading manufacturer of flat rolled aluminium with strong global presence is seeking to enter the Australia/ New Zealand market. To facilitate this, an exciting opportunity exists for a highly experienced and autonomous Regional Business Development Manager / Sales Lead to establish this start-up regional business.

As this will be a start-up regional business, the successful incumbent will be required to work remotely from home while provided with support and services of the APAC head office.

All required communications and IT equipment (phone, laptop etc) will be provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales and business development strategies to achieve sales and profit targets for the region.
  • Utilise and further develop your existing network across FMCG Packaging, Automotive, Building Materials and Component manufacturers to win new business within the region.
  • Management of sales pipeline and forecast reporting.
  • Analyse performance of product portfolio to identify market opportunities.
  • Provide local market insights and expertise into the global head office for development of global sales strategies.
  • Profit and Loss responsibility for region, sales budget control and management of revenue targets.
  • Regular customer service contact and account management duties.

Experience Required:

  • Proven experience and success in a B2B Business Development / Sales Management role for a major supplier of flat rolled metallic product will be considered essential to succeed in this role (i.e.: aluminium / steel).
  • You will be required to demonstrate an extensive, existing client network across FMCG Packaging, Automotive, Building & Industrial Materials and Component manufacturers.
  • Self-starter, capable of working entirely autonomously given that they will be working remotely.
  • Strong communication skills towards negotiation of commercial supply agreements with major clients.
